Ellen G. White claimed to be a lesser light to the Bible. To look at it any other way defeats the whole purpose of her writings. God inspired EGW to show an in-depth view of His Word. The normal shallow reading of the Bible leaves a lot to be desired. God gave us brains to think for ourselves. We don't have to take everything she says as gospel! Perhaps God will inspire you to come up with better views on things then she did. What she did, under God's inspiration, was to point us in the right direction.  The thing is, God always leaves room for doubt! Take the rich man and Lazarus for example. Jesus Himself gave this parable knowing it would be a confusion to believers through the ages!

Ellen White was a prolific writer on many subjects including history, education, health and of course the Bible.
